WildestVet was born from one man’s vision to pay it forward. After more than 45 years in wildlife veterinary medicine, Dr. Willem Burger realised that Africa’s knowledge, stories, skills, and conservation wisdom shouldn’t disappear when one career ends. It needed to be passed on – shared, lived, and carried forward by the next generation of veterinarians, conservationists, and passionate adventurers.

Today, that vision has grown into a small, dedicated team united by one belief:
Wildlife conservation becomes stronger when people experience it firsthand.

We come from different backgrounds – veterinary, conservation, digital communications and field operations – but we share one mission:
To protect Africa’s wildlife through inclusive field-based, vet-led conservation experiences.

Our programs are not tourism.
They are not staged.
They are not artificial or curated.

They are real conservation, guided by real veterinarians, driven by purpose, built to safeguard Africa’s species and natural resources.
